with alternatives to mainstream eductation. We help those looking
to explore choices beyond traditional continuing education.


Robert P. Gilpin
Robert P. Gilpin received his A.B. from Princeton and his M.A. and Ph.D.
in history from Duke University. Before assuming his teaching post at
Milton Academy, Mr. Gilpin taught at Duke University, Sweet Briar College
and Phillips Exeter Academy. Since being at Milton Academy, Mr. Gilpin
has been awarded the Philip Weld Chair in American History and was
named one of six Master Teachers in 1996. Mr. Gilpin is the co-author
of "Time Out: Taking a Break from School to Travel, Work, Study in the
U.S. and Abroad" and is president of the educational consulting firm,
Where You Headed?.
